Composition and Transferring

For my final composition/piece I created multiple different examples of compositions. The first one includes my self portrait within the middle, emphasizing it and multiple symbols surrounding it. It uses mainly cold colours with different intensities, representing value within this piece. I would transfer this using a plastic sheet. The second one is very different. It's two self-portraits looking directly at each other creating an implied line towards the middle of the paper, this is inspired by the Two Fridas through using two similar self-portraits. The third example is one that is slightly more detailed, as it has two proper drawn symbols. The self-portrait is located on the left of the paper, which would be transferred using carbon paper. And the last example has the self-portrait located on the right, the eyes create an implied line moving towards the bottom left corner of the piece.

I created 4 transfers, 2 using carbon paper and the other 2 are transferred using a self made carbon paper, by using oil pastels on the back of the printed photo.
